In the State House I authored and passed “Molly Jane's Law.”

It was named after a young woman from Fort Worth who was brutally murdered by a sexual predator. The law gives police better tools to identify and capture sexual predators before they commit more heinous crimes. In Congress, I will fight to pass a similar, federal law so that all sexual predators are put behind bars. I'm asking for your vote in my race for Congress in the Republican Primary.

Sadly, Tracy Matheson received the call that every parent fears.

Her daughter Molly Jane, a young woman from Fort Worth, had been brutally murdered by a sexual predator. This individual had been accused of sexually assaulting women in the past.

After this terrible tragedy, Tracy Matheson reached out to me. After many months of research, testimony and advocacy, Molly Jane’s law became a reality.

I hope you will take a minute to hear from Tracy, the work we did together, and how Molly Jane’s law is making a difference.
