About Craig Goldman
Craig Goldman is currently serving his fourth term as Texas State Representative for House District 97, which encompasses southwest Tarrant County. He was first elected in November of 2012.
Before taking office, Representative Goldman experienced a career in both business and political fields. For nearly a decade, he and his father ran a retail gourmet food and fine wine store in Fort Worth, and he worked on campaigns helping to elect Republican office holders at the local, state and national level. Goldman is a former board member of Cowtown Executives Association, the Women’s Center of Tarrant County, and a founding member of the Tarrant County College Foundation.
Representative Goldman is extremely proud of his Texas roots as a 5th generation Texan and a 4th generation native of Fort Worth. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin and is a partner in several real estate investment companies. Craig and his wife, Auryn, reside in Fort Worth, Texas.
During the 86th Legislative Session, Representative Goldman was appointed Vice Chairman of the Licensing and Administrative Procedures Committee; reappointed to the Transportation Committee, and served on the Calendars Committee.
In December of 2019, House Speaker Dennis Bonnen appointed Representative Goldman to the Sunset Advisory Commission. The appointment is two terms, or four years, and will expire in 2023. The Sunset Commission is tasked with identifying and eliminating waste, duplication, and inefficiency for more than 130 Texas state agencies.
