Tarrant County delivers meals to anyone who is homebound and is physically or mentally unable to prepare meals for themselves. This selfless organization operates with the help of some 5,000 volunteers who help deliver approximately 1 million meals each year to some of Tarrant County’s most frail citizens. Meals on Wheels can deliver meals to one homebound person for an entire year at a cost lower than one day in a hospital or six days in a nursing home.
